John and I had such a wonderful time photographing Tom and Ashley's wedding last Saturday. It was at the gorgeous Ayr Mount in Hillsborough, NC. If you are a bride looking for a beautiful outdoor location, consider the amazing Ayr Mount. The Ayr Mount is a historical house with beautiful grounds of rolling hills, it reminded me of Virginia! It was a beautiful fall day and the lighting was lovely which made for an amazing evening. Ashley and Tom wanted a very laid back feel, so they supplied boche ball, croquet sets and frisbees for their guests to enjoy. Everyone had a great time. Here are a few of my favorites from the evening...Ashley was peaking out of the window to watch Tom and the guests arrive...Ayr Mount's beautiful historical house...love fall lighting!!Such great lighting with this gorgeous tree line...someone took a photo behind Ashley and her father at the same time I did, I love how it made this sweet father-daughter dance photo glow....Congrats again, Ashley and Tom, enjoy beautiful Montana!

Katy: Bridal Portraits
Katy and I had a great time together on Tuesday exploring UNC's campus for her bridal portraits. Katy was looking for something a little different so we utilized the graphic murals on Franklin Street, the gorgeous arbor in the Coker Arboretum and the rustic Forest amphitheater. I love taking urban bridals! The contrast between the elegant white dress and the urban texture and architecture is amazing. If you are considering a bridal portrait, think about taking this approach, I think it makes for dynamic photos. Don't forget to click on the images to see the full detail. Thanks again, Katy, I can't wait for your wedding next weekend at the Carolina Inn!this one is straight out of a magazine, so gorgeous!Love this brick wall...we found this beautiful green door, I love the color and texture...Love the lighting...I think Katy looks beautiful in black and white...I think this one is my favorite, I love the color and texture with her gorgeous dress...

Erin: Bridal Portraits
On Monday I had the opportunity to meet Erin and some of her sweet family to take her bridal portraits. I am really looking forward to Erin and her fiance, Casey's wedding in a few weeks in Raleigh. Erin looked absolutely beautiful I couldn't resist posting a few before the big day! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day (make sure to click on the photos so you can see them enlarged and don't miss the details)...
love the reflection! Erin spotted this beautiful tree and wanted to get some photos in front of it. The color and texture was gorgeous in contrast with her elegant dress...Erin used to dance point so she wanted to get a photo of her dancing in her dress, so cute!
