A couple of weeks ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Katye and Mark's wedding in Fort Belvoir, VA. This was a really special wedding for me because Katye is one of John and I's closest friends from college. It was also really fun because I got to work with our other good friend from college, Rob Jones (Towner Jones Photography). Katye and Mark are such a sweet and grounded couple. I have never seen a groom as thoughtful as Mark. He was so attentive to Katye all day, showering her with gifts and notes right before the wedding. As one of Katye's close friends, it was so amazing to see her truly being adored by such a great man and happily returning his adoration. There were so many sweet moments from the day, I had a terrible time choosing my favorites, but I will try to control myself...Katye's adorable flower girl, Reagan, helping Katye put her shoes on...I love these sweet moments between Katye and her parents before the ceremony...Some of my favorite photos from a wedding are the first moments the bride and groom have together immediately after the ceremony, I just love the look of pure joy on Katye's face in this one...Katye looks so mischievous in this photo...
Katye and John were notorious for their dancing skills in college, so I couldn't resist putting this photo of my cute husband and his best friend...
I love this photo of Katye's grandparents dancing... Congratulations again, Katye and Mark! It was an absolute joy and privilege to be a part of your lovely wedding. John and I wish you all the best, we love you both!!

So beautiful! Congratulations Katye!! You were SUCH a beautiful bride. Lashelle, these photos are just perfect. I love the ones of Katye in your next post too. What a lovely wedding!
Lashelle--You are very talented and I love seeing it here! It is just amazing that I can sit here in small town Mississippi and see the love and joy on the face of a dear friend so far away. Thanks for capturing that so I can see it!
