A few weeks ago, I met the Goldstein family at their beautiful cabin outside of Waynesboro, Va. It was Sue Goldstein's 60th birthday, and the entire family had come into town for a two day extravaganza to honor this sweet woman. I joined them for their family brunch on Sunday morning. This family was so full of laughter, charisma and hospitality that it seemed effortless to photograph them. The grandchildren were inquisitive and uninhibited, creating irresistible, picturesque moments. I hope that the joy and life that I felt when I was with the Goldsteins will be illustrated my photos.

Paris, France
________________________________________
In October 2006, John and I took a trip to Paris. We stayed in the Latin Quarter, where winding streets are lined with cafes and bakeries. I finally achieved a long time dream to visit the spectacular Notre Dame. In these photos I sought to capture the rustic textures, bold color, and strong architecture that epitomize romantic Paris.

The Bullard Family

I met the fun loving Bullard family on a clear fall day at Pen Park in Charlottesville. The open fields created a natural backdrop that was perfect for this energetic family. They arrived carrying their sports equiptment ready to play around. We took some action shots as well as some casual portraits. I think these pictures captured the natural beauty and joy of this sweet family.

Leah's Pregnancy
___________________________________________
In November 2006, I shot some casual photos of my sister Leah and her husband Seth preparing for parenthood. We took advantage of a beautiful fall day in Warrenton to capture these photos. Leah was 7 months pregnant at the time, although she hardly looks it. I was trying out new angles and perspectives in this shoot. We laughed a lot, which is never good when you are trying to hold the camera steady, but I tried to capture the young, hip and fun feeling of the Horrells.
