Hailey

My niece Hailey came to visit John and I this weekend for a special girls weekend. Hailey is the only girl in a family of all boys, so it was a blast to to do some girlie things like shop, watch Hannah Montana in 3D and just girl talk. On Saturday we decided to enjoy the sun and moderate warmth and wander around Duke Gardens. I love the Japanese Garden there. The color and texture of the bamboo was gorgeous! Here are some shots I coerced Hailey into...I think they turned out really neat, Hailey is such a beautiful 11 year-old.

Lori and Erik

My good friends, Lori and Erik got married over Christmas. I haven't had a chance to post about their wedding until now, but John and I had a great time celebrating with them. They got married in Charlottesville, so it was fun to visit all of our friends. It was a beautiful wedding and a really fun reception, full of dancing and a lot of laughter. My good friend, Sara Cramer, was the photographer, but I brought my camera along and got to snap a few shots of my own.
