Jen and Jimmy: the wedding

As promised, here are the pictures from Jen and Jimmy's wedding day. As you will see, it was such an amazing and fun day...
Jen's dress had gorgeous detailing!Jen practicing her vows as she was getting her makeup done..Jen and Jimmy's adorable dog, just hanging out while all the girls were getting ready...such a sweet moment between Jen and her mom...Love the gorgeous windows in their house...Right after we got situated to take this photo the sprinklers on the golf course started going off behind the girls, which made this picture so fun...I love this photo of Jen cooling down after we took portraits while she was waiting for the ceremony to begin ....I love this moment between Jimmy and his stepmother...When Jen was walking down the aisle, everyone stood up and Jimmy couldn't see her, so this is him trying to peak around the crowd and get a glimpse of his bride...Everyone loved to dance at this reception which made it such a fun celebration...Congratulations, again, Jen and Jimmy! Thanks for letting John be a part of your wonderful day!

Jen and Jimmy: Rehearsal Dinner

This weekend John and I had the opportunity to photograph Jen and Jimmy's wedding weekend extravaganza. Because so many of their friends and family were traveling in from out of town, Jen and Jimmy made the whole weekend a celebration. They invited everyone to the rehearsal dinner at Snipes Farm in Chapel Hill. It is such a rustic and fun location, perfect for the laid-back, barbecue dinner. Before everything got started, I was able to steal the sweet couple away for a few minutes to get some shots of the two of them alone together in this lovely location. They are so adorable! Here are some of my favorites from this fun evening...I love these next three photos...such a sweet moment...I think the lighting is so fun in this sweet picture of Jen and her sister, Christine...Jen and Jimmy surprised Christine, Jen's sister, with a cake for her birthday, so cute...Stay posted, more pictures are to come from this lovely and fun weekend...

It's A BOY!

As many of you already know, I am now 5 months pregnant. John and I have really been looking forward to starting a family and were overjoyed to get the great news 5 months ago. Although I have had to fight some really terrible morning sickness, we are getting more and more excited to enter into this new phase of our lives. Last week we went to get our 2nd Trimester ultrasound, which was such a thrilling experience, and we found out that we're having a BOY! We were also lucky enough to have the absolutely incredible experience of getting a 3D ultrasound. It is just mind blowing that you can actually see his little face. I know I am obviously biased, but I think he is adorable already. So here is the first of MANY photos I'm sure I will share of our future son...

Katharine and Eric

John and I had a wonderful time photographing Eric and Katharine's wedding on Sunday. They had a lovely wedding in front of the pond at the Duke Gardens. It was such a warm and joyful wedding. Eric and Katharine's friends were so fun on the dance floor! It was a blast to be a part of. Such an adorable couple! Here are a few of my favorites from the afternoon...so beautiful...another glowing bride photo...such a gorgeous ceremony location, the lily pads are so amazing...such a fun reception...These last two photos are my favorite from the day. While we were taking portraits, Katharine's veil started blowing around so we made the most of a sweet moment...Thanks again, Katharine and Eric, for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!
