Congrats Ryan!

I come from a big extended family that is very close. My cousins and I are all pretty close in age and grew up together almost like siblings. We spent all of our holidays together, as well as, went to the beach together every summer. I am saying all of this so you can understand how excited I am for my cousin Ryan who graduated from UNC on Sunday. As always, the family came into town to celebrate this proud day and even though it was cold and raining on Sunday, we endured the graduation ceremony. John and I have been thrilled to be living so close to Ryan this last year and watch him finish this degree. I am so proud of Ryan who has been working extremely hard and overcome a ton to get where he is today. He is an amazingly strong guy and I absolutely love and adore him! So here are a few pics of my family who are quirky, a little crazy and wonderful...my Uncle Bill and John annoyed with me for taking so many photos...I never thought my mom and I looked alike until this photo...my cousins have a hard time taking a serious picture together...and of course one of Sam...

La Grande Maison

This week I had the opportunity to tour around La Grande Maison in Mebane, NC. La Grande is a Bed and Breakfast, as well as, a gorgeous event venue. Located in the heart of Mebane on 30 lovely acres of gardens and land, La Grande is a hidden gem. If you are in search of a beautiful wedding or event venue check this place out. It is wonderful and the staff are top notch. An elegant and intimate mix of modern and English formal, it is a perfect spot for a wedding weekend get-away. For any brides out there who may be interested, on Sunday June 1st there will be a vendor and bride mixer at La Grande that you should definitely think about attending. That way you can experience the winding walkways and stunning gardens for yourself, plus I will be there. For more info on La Grande Maison check out their website: www.LaGrandeMaisonBandB.com or contact Jessica at 919 563 3323. Here are a couple shots I took while wandering around...

Ben and Bethany

Sunday afternoon I met Ben and Bethany at the Duke Gardens for their engagement session. Although it was sprinkling when we arrived, the rain held off for us and the cloudy day produced gorgeous colors. Ben and Bethany are so sweet together and were so fun to spend the afternoon with, they reminded me how much I love my job. As you will see, we laughed a lot together! I can't wait to photograph their wedding in Raleigh on December 6th. Here are a few of my favorites from the afternoon...We found a Bobcat and they were totally willing to take some pictures by it...I think this is my favorite series...

Kurt and Heather

On Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph Kurt and Heather's wedding. They had a lovely outdoor ceremony at her mother's farmhouse in Bahama, NC, complete with a pig-pickin' reception. Although there were a couple of rain showers, they held off until the reception and it ended up being a gorgeous evening. Kurt and Heather were so fun and the farm was so beautiful, we had a great time photographing it. Here are a few of my favorites...
Kurt and Heather got engaged on Dia de los Muertos so in honor of it they had the cutest cake...Congratulations again Kurt and Heather!!
