baby Miles

On Wednesday Hayston and I went over to a friend's house for his first "play date." Miles was born just a day after Hayston but weighed almost 3 lbs less than our big guy. We had so much fun hanging out with Miles and his wonderful family! Chelsea (Miles' mom) and I are hoping that Hayston and Miles will be great friends one day. While I was there I took a few photos for Chelsea of Miles and his big sister Ada. They are such an adorable family!! Here are a couple of my favorites...love the blue eyes!big sister Ada...I love this series of Ada eating lunch...so adorable!some Mommy time...love this one!
I can't wait to pull out this picture of Hayston and Miles laying side-by-side when they are older...(so embarrassing)BIG stretch...and lastly, I think my favorite from the day...Thanks for having us over guys!

the sweet moments...

For the last week or so I've been too tired to think about taking pictures of Hayston, but yesterday I missed my job as a photographer, so I decided to bring my camera back out. I have to say that I'm so glad I did because I was able to capture a couple sweet moments in our family's day-to-day life, especially between John and our son. It was such a good reminder to me of why I LOVE what I do. I love to capture the often missed moments in life. Hayston is growing and changing so much, so quickly, I don't want to miss out on what makes life with him so special. I have always felt it is such a privilege to be invited in to my client's lives and be able to capture these kinds of moments for them, and it was so much fun to have the opportunity to do it for my own family. So, thanks to all of my clients for letting me into the precious moments of your lives and inspiring me to cherish them in my own. Enjoy this glimpse into our family and home! Hayston is still pretty sleepy all the time, but I love his BIG yawn!it's the little things...like sweet little toes!John had a late night with Hayston the night before last, so the two of them ended up taking a little snooze last night after dinner. It was a beautiful moment!I don't think there is anything sweeter than a baby falling asleep on it's Dad's chest. I'm so glad I captured this moment between my guys...Hopefully, there will be more sweet moments to come!

Tummy Time

Well, we went to the doctor yesterday and found out that Hayston is now a whopping 10 lbs 6 oz. He has gained over a pound in a week so John and I have taken to calling him Babyzilla. At this rate he could be 20 lbs by the time he's a month old! Luckily, he is still absolutely adorable, even with his fat rolls and double chin. Here are just a couple pictures my friend Kristen and I took last week of him doing his tummy exercises. They may be some of my favorite photos of him so far....
