Katharine and Eric

John and I had a wonderful time photographing Eric and Katharine's wedding on Sunday. They had a lovely wedding in front of the pond at the Duke Gardens. It was such a warm and joyful wedding. Eric and Katharine's friends were so fun on the dance floor! It was a blast to be a part of. Such an adorable couple! Here are a few of my favorites from the afternoon...so beautiful...another glowing bride photo...such a gorgeous ceremony location, the lily pads are so amazing...such a fun reception...These last two photos are my favorite from the day. While we were taking portraits, Katharine's veil started blowing around so we made the most of a sweet moment...Thanks again, Katharine and Eric, for letting us be a part of your beautiful day! Congratulations!

My lovely friend...

I LOVE these five pictures of my beautiful friend Katye, whose wedding I recently photographed (see below) so just had to post them. They make me smile! I think Katye looks absolutely gorgeous in all of them. I feel like Stevie Wonder's "Isn't she lovely" should be playing in the background. Gotta love a cathedral veil, they make for some of the best photos!

Katye and Mark

A couple of weeks ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Katye and Mark's wedding in Fort Belvoir, VA. This was a really special wedding for me because Katye is one of John and I's closest friends from college. It was also really fun because I got to work with our other good friend from college, Rob Jones (Towner Jones Photography). Katye and Mark are such a sweet and grounded couple. I have never seen a groom as thoughtful as Mark. He was so attentive to Katye all day, showering her with gifts and notes right before the wedding. As one of Katye's close friends, it was so amazing to see her truly being adored by such a great man and happily returning his adoration. There were so many sweet moments from the day, I had a terrible time choosing my favorites, but I will try to control myself...Katye's adorable flower girl, Reagan, helping Katye put her shoes on...I love these sweet moments between Katye and her parents before the ceremony...Some of my favorite photos from a wedding are the first moments the bride and groom have together immediately after the ceremony, I just love the look of pure joy on Katye's face in this one...Katye looks so mischievous in this photo...
Katye and John were notorious for their dancing skills in college, so I couldn't resist putting this photo of my cute husband and his best friend...
I love this photo of Katye's grandparents dancing... Congratulations again, Katye and Mark! It was an absolute joy and privilege to be a part of your lovely wedding. John and I wish you all the best, we love you both!!

Brent and Diep

Last weekend John and I had a great time photographing Brent and Diep's (Yip) wedding. They had a lovely ceremony at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Durham and an elegant reception at the Washington Duke Inn. Both Diep and Brent have big loving families who were so welcoming, they made John and I feel like we were a part of the family. Brent and Diep were are so in love and sweet with one another. It was such a wonderful day! It was hard to decide which pictures to post, so here are just a few of my many favorites...
John took this photo gorgeous photo. I think it is one of my favorites, I love the way the light hits Diep as she walks down the aisle...I love this next photo...this is what happens when the groomsmen decide to pick up the bride...how adorable...these next two photos were taken during the toast by Diep's adoring younger brother, so sweet...Diep is so much smaller than Brent, by the end of the night she was dancing on his feet and letting him spin her around...Congratulations again, Brent and Diep! Thanks again for letting us be a part of your amazing day!
